Routine Covid testing for residents and key workers
Please note that Hounslow has reinstated asymptomatic testing for both keyworkers and residents. This is to try and prevent the asymptomatic spread of coronavirus.
Local ‘rapid tests’ take 15 minutes and provide a result within 40 minutes and are available for anyone who still needs to go out for work – key workers, carers, tradespeople and essential retail workers – who need a quick result and regular testing.
Next week, new testing sites will open at Wellington Day Centre (from Monday 18 January onwards) and Isleworth Library (from Tuesday 19 January onwards).
Book your rapid test online www.hounslow.gov.uk/rapidtest or by calling 0207 084 9697.
YOU CAN ONLY BOOK THIS TEST IF YOU HAVE NO SYMPTOMS.
Please click here for further information.
A Huge Thank You!
Thank you so much to the amazing people who responded to the Make a Difference Appeal and have contacted us to donate laptops. This will make a real difference to our pupils ability to continue with their learning during this latest lockdown. Many, many thanks – you are wonderful!

Provision for Children of Critical Workers and Vulnerable Pupils
We have been in touch with parents of all pupils that need a place in school whilst school is closed for the majority of pupils. The school day will start at 8.50am as normal and finish for all children at 3pm. Arrangements for dropping off and collecting pupils remain unchanged, gates will open at 8.40am.
ALL ADULTS MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING WHEN ON SCHOOL PREMISES.
Children must wear school uniform, schools meals will be served as normal and children will join the online learning sessions with their teachers and complete the same work that is being set for those children learning at home. Attendance and punctuality expectations are the same as for when school is fully open.
Arrangements for Remote Learning
You will all have received an e-mail from class teachers today telling you the times of the online teaching sessions each day for all of the classes. We have staggered these times as far as possible to support families who have children in different year groups. Please ensure that your children log on for all of these sessions, if they are unwell and are unable to take part for any other reason please either inform the class teacher by email or contact the school office. Teachers will be taking a register during each session. If you have any difficulties accessing these sessions please contact us and we will do our best to support you. It is really important that your children complete all of the tasks set each day by their teachers, if you have any queries please e-mail class teachers.
Hopefully school will be open for all pupils again soon, we look forward to seeing you all then.
January 2021 Delayed Return to School
As I am sure you are aware Hounslow is one of the Local Authorities where Primary Schools are to remain closed for the majority of pupils until at least 18th January. This is due to the rapidly rising number of COVID-19 cases in the area.
Pupils were due to return to school on Tuesday 5th January 2021, we will now be providing remote learning for the majority of pupils from this date. If you will need to borrow a Chromebook from school in order that your child/ren can access online learning please email us at info@ivybridge.hounslow.sch.uk as soon as possible giving the names and year groups of your children. Alternatively telephone the school office between 9am and 11am on Monday morning. We will be in touch on Monday and organise for you to collect a Chromebook from school. We only have a limited number available so please only request one if you really need it.
If you are a Critical Worker and have no other adult living in your household who is able to care for your children whilst you are at work please click here and complete the form. Alternatively please telephone the school office between 9am and 11am on Monday morning. We will be in touch with you on Monday.
If you child is considered Vulnerable for any reason we will telephone you on Monday to discuss provision in school for your child during this period.
For children not attending school and who are entitled to means tested free school meals we will be organising for you to recieve Tesco vouchers. We will inform you when this has been arranged.
Important – reporting positive COVID-19 cases throughout the holiday
If any children become unwell and test positive for COVID-19 whilst school is closed it is still important that you let us know and follow the rules for self-isolation, Please e-mail us at info@ivybridge.hounslow.sch.uk and provide you child’s full name, class/year group and the date when they tested positive. Many thanks for your support.
