Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive this term, we are very thankful that so far the school hasn’t been too badly disrupted by COVID-19 and we are hoping it stays that way. Please help to keep us all safe by following advice and keeping to the restrictions of the current lockdown.
Kind regards,
Caroline McKay (Head Teacher)
What to do when your child is showing possible COVID-19 symptoms
If your child is unwell please do not send them to school. You must contact us straight away and let us know what their symptoms are.
If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19 you should arrange for them to be tested as soon as possible. They must stay at home and so must everyone who lives in your home – do not send brothers and sisters to school.
Contact us with the test result as soon as you receive it.
If the test is negative your child can return to school and everyone else in your home can also return to school and work.
If the test is positive your child must remain at home for 10 days from when they became unwell, the rest of your household must remain at home for 14 days from when your child became unwell. If anyone else develops symptoms, they must be tested too. Please let us know the results of any tests.
If you are unsure of what to do please contact us and we will advise you or direct you to another service which can help.
If anyone who lives in your home has any symptoms of COVID-19 everyone who lives with you must stay at home, do not send children to school if adults or brothers and sisters have symptoms. Contact us straight away and arrange for tests as soon as possible.
